OCTPro (www.OCTPro.com) is a dedicated Division in General Photonics focusing on OCT and other medical imaging business. General Photonics, a privately held company founded in 1995, is proud to maintain its lead in the fields of polarization management and delay/timing control.

Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) is an imaging technique that provides high resolution, nondestructive, in situ, real-time reflectivity profiling of non-absorptive samples. Medical applications include noninvasive ophthalmological imaging and endoscopic gastrointestinal tract imaging. The applications in other fields that require rapid, nondestructive imaging are being developed.

Fiber based OCT systems require precise polarization management, accurate delay control, fast wavelength tuning, and complete optical system integration capabilities. These requirements are well aligned with General Photonics Corporation’s (GPC) expertise and strengths developed over the past 12 years.

  • GPC offers a wide range of components/modules for OCT applications, including manual and electrically-driven polarization controllers, automatic polarization tracking modules, variable delay lines, wavelength-swept lasers, and OCT grade passive components with wide bandwidth and low wavelength ripple.
  • GPC has a strong patent portfolio to backup our products and expertise in polarization management, delay/timing control, and wavelength swept lasers.
  • GPC has a wealth of experience and a long track record for developing standard and customized products for leading OCT system developers around the world.

General Photonics is capable and willing to develop prototypes per customer specifications as well as manage high volume offshore production contracts. Dedicated personnel are available to present, negotiate and manage contracts.

OCTPro.com showcases our OCT grade passive components, standard and OEM modules, and test and control instruments that are most useful for OCT system developers.
